Your pickup takes place from the hotel or accommodation you specify, and the prices you see are for pickups from the center of Thessaloniki. For any other location, please contact us.

The pickup time is set by you. Prices mainly refer to the hours the monastery is open, i.e., if the monastery opens at 10:00, the pickup must take place (one hour before) at 09:00, so you can arrive on time. For any changes, please contact us.

WOMEN

Entrance to the monastery is not allowed for women wearing trousers, short skirts, sleeveless, or backless tops.
Women must wear a wide and long skirt, below the knee. The monastery does not provide skirts, scarves, or anything else.

MEN

Entrance to the monastery is not allowed for men wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts.

Upon our arrival at the Monastery, vehicles are required to wait on the first level in specific areas designated by the monastery until it opens and entry is permitted. When the monastery opens, vehicles, depending on the order they arrived, begin to enter the monastery grounds and head to the parking areas of the second level, which is also the entrance to the Monastery. Taxis as well as hired vehicles with a driver have priority at the first parking level and go up first, where they drop off their customers. Taxis and hired vehicles with a driver are not allowed to park there but must drive back down to the first parking level. When the pilgrim completes their visit to the Monastery, they contact the driver, who comes and picks you up from where they dropped you off to enter the Monastery, and you return to your accommodation.

Upon entering the Monastery, proceed about 40 to 50 meters, where you will see small steps on your left. After climbing them, you will find yourself in the area where the tomb of Saint Paisios is located on the left side. Head there and pay your respects. After paying your respects, go back down, and walking towards the exit, you will see a table on your left with Loukoumia (traditional Greek sweet treat) offered by the Monastery free of charge to pilgrims. Each person can take one loukoumi and drink some water. Next, you visit the holy church of Saint John, located right above. Light a candle in the Holy Church, and then you can venerate the holy relics of Saint Arsenios, which are inside the Holy Church. After completing your visit to the church, there is a small shop near the exit gate where you can buy books, icons, and souvenirs. Once you have completed your entire visit and are ready to depart, contact the driver, who will come to pick you up from the point where they left you to depart for your accommodation.
